Battery First Degree, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Report

Battery 1st Degree

At approximately 5:09 PM on December 8 2018, while patrolling the area of Oak Street in Blevins, Arkansas Deputy Jim Bush was flagged down by a white male later identified as Tavis Jones at 110 Oak Street. Travis appeared to have blood running down his right arm.

Upon making contact with Travis, He advised that his uncle, Albert Jones, stabbed him. Deputy Bush observed a stab wound that appeared to go downward into Travis’ chest near his collar bone.  Deputy Bush called for Pafford EMS to respond. Travis was transported to the Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX. for treatment.

Deputy Bush made contact with Albert Jones and took him into custody without incident.

Albert Jones was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center for the charge of Domestic Battery 1st degree and is awaiting a first appearance.
