Responders from at least 6 organizations responded to a hay fire in a barn on Nevada County Road 227 Monday around 8:30am. The area was south of Emmet. Approximately 300 round bales were destroyed. The fire was confined to the barn and was expected to burn for quite some time. Agencies responding included the Nevada County Rescue Unit, Emmet VFD, Fair Hills VFD, Redland VFD, Laneburg VFD, and Rosston VFD.
