The Hope Kiwanis Club welcomed Mo-Ark District Governor Roy Ockert and his wife Pat from Jonesboro on Tuesday (8-22). The District Governor gave some information about Kiwanis projects on the international level as well as from local clubs. He shared some statistics and detailed some new clubs that have formed.

The HarMENizers presented a concert at First Baptist Church on August 20th. A good crowd came out to hear the quartet as well as several other performers. The HarMENizers have performed in many venues around the area and their gospel sounds are quite popular around Southwest Arkansas.
A 55 year old Lewisville man died in a one-vehicle accident Monday in rural Miller County. Wade Allen Ray was traveling east on state highway 134 near the 12 mile-marker when his vehicle left the road. The vehicle came back on the road then overturned. Corporal Dale Young of Arkansas
