The James Black School of Bladesmithing and Historic Trades held a hunting knife course this past weekend in Historic Washington. Those attending learned how to forge a basic blade, assembling the handle with the “tang” technique, hunting knife designs and proportions, steel types, heat treating, and sharpening techniques.
